Living in residence puts you in the center of the action on campus

Steps away from classes, social events and Lancer games. Living in residence also means you’re not alone when you need help. Staff are on-call 24/7 and resident assistants (RAs) are here to help you make friends and become part of the UWindsor community. First-year students coming straight from high school are guaranteed a place if you get your deposit in on time. Want a single room? We have them. Want to share with a friend? No problem. If you’re taking engineering, nursing or science, we can even house you in “learning communities” with other students from your program. A meal plan is mandatory.

What's here for you?

  • Want a single room? We have them. Share with a friend? No problem.
  • We have living and learning communities: Engineering, Nursing and Science.
  • Need academic help? Your RA - Academic is available.
  • Need personal help? Your RA is there, 24/7.

Visit Alumni Hall

There are four residences to choose from on the UWindsor campus including Alumni, Macdonald, Laurier, and Cartier Halls. Living in the heart of our community is the best way to get connected to friends and campus life and to be involved in extra-curricular activities.

Residences are safe & secure, have dedicated resident assistants on every floor, provide free wi-fi, support services and are only steps away from your classes. If you live in residence there is no excuse to be late for class. You can wake up and be to class in minutes, unless you want to shower first.

Where will I eat?

Eating on campus couldn’t be more convenient and satisfying. The Student Centre food court is jam-packed with eateries, and there are more scattered throughout campus. Your options are diverse — think shawarma, smoothies, sushi or subs; pasta, pizza or pulled pork lasagna. You’ll find popular franchises, gourmet coffee shops and local favourites.

You can use your meal plan everywhere on campus, including vending machines. It’s also accepted at our local restaurant partners: Harvey’s®, Pizza Pizza®, Jade Chinese Cuisine and Mare Nostrum Mediterranean restaurant and bar.
